To approach losing 10 pounds in two months, first check whether the target fits your situation, then make a repeatable plan for the first month and review it before the second. Twenty pounds in the same period is a different request, not the same plan with twice the effort. Neither target can be approved from the amount and deadline alone. Use the two months to organize decisions, not to guarantee a result.
What changes between 10 and 20 pounds?
Ten pounds divided by two months is five pounds per month; twenty divided by two is ten. Those are requested averages, not expected results. The difference does not justify doubling exercise or halving meals. Your current situation, health and reasons for choosing the number belong in the assessment before selecting a routine.
Write why two months matters. An event may explain the deadline but does not establish what weight change is appropriate. If the date is fixed, the outcome target can still change. You can arrive at that date with a more dependable routine and a clearer next step without treating an unmet number as failure.
Make month one a workable schedule
Begin with your actual next week, not an imaginary week with unlimited time. Identify one repeated problem: breakfast gets displaced by commuting, lunch depends on a missed shopping trip, or dinner decisions happen when every preferred option is closed. Choose the one that is most concrete to change.
Here is an original fictional example, not a patient story. Morgan wants a two-month plan but has an unpredictable commute. A large Sunday cooking session has repeatedly been cancelled. Morgan chooses two lunches that can be assembled from available groceries and writes down where the food will come from if shopping is missed. The arrangement is checked against fridge space, price and access to reheating.
Morgan's first review asks whether lunch was available on the intended days. If ingredients were bought but preparation never happened, the next revision changes the preparation step. If the food was prepared but left at home, the revision changes packing or the backup. Neither observation reveals how much weight Morgan will lose.
Use the meal-preparation guide if cooking logistics are the obstacle, or the weekly menu if choosing meals is the missing step. You do not need to start a new app or discard every familiar food to write a concrete arrangement.
Give month two a different job
Do not make the second month automatically stricter. Review what you have learned in three parts: what was practical, what repeatedly failed, and what needs individual advice. Keep a useful arrangement. Replace one that depends on time, money or equipment you do not have. Bring concerns about health or weight response to a qualified professional instead of using this worksheet to intensify restriction.
Morgan discovers that the grocery option works on office days but not during a week of travel. The second-month plan includes a meal source near the temporary workplace and a backup if it closes. The task has changed because the week changed. The fictional example assigns no weight result and does not imply that travel requires compensation afterward.
What if a week is missed?
Keep the original deadline visible and decide whether it still serves you. A missed week reduces the time remaining; it does not create a requirement to recover a supposed weight deficit. Change the next practical action and reconsider the deadline when needed. Record the actual obstacle rather than simply writing “try harder.”
For a numerical model of a proposed target and period, consult the NIDDK Body Weight Planner and its limitations. A modeled estimate is not a guarantee. This general guide is for adults and is not a plan for pregnancy, breastfeeding or children.
Write the two months you can review
Set two months below. Name the arrangement for the next week, its backup and what you want to check at the end of month one. You may change the amount or horizon; the tool keeps your notes so you can review whether they still fit. It does not derive calorie targets or mark any combination safe.
Build a goal and review calendar
Describe a request, then plan what you will do next. No combination is approved as safe or achievable by this tool. You can leave the weight amount blank.

Your plan to keep
At the final review, choose what continues without the countdown. If support with everyday routines would be useful, compare that need with Glow's actual capabilities.
